I bought two sets of these for my family.I might not use them for company, because the texture and weave are casual, not at all fancy.However, I use them more often than any other placemat, because they wash like a dream and go back on the table without ironing.The perfect balance between wipe-clean plastic (no toddlers anymore -- don't have to do plastic) and fancier placemats that have to be ironed.

These Basil Bardwil cobblestone napkins are absolutely fabulous. I recommend them to anyone that wants a high end look to their table but not a lot of muss and fuss.

Review of Rose Tree Royal Linen Set of 6 Placemat

This set of Rose Tree placemats are some of the nicest that I have seen in a very long time. I got my set in Cinnabar. (By the way, at the time of this review Amazon is stating that my color is on a 1-3 month back-order, however if you're interested in it I say place your order because it's been my experience that Amazon is very quick and is constantly moving and changing inventory.) The color is so rich and vibrant. It has a very contemporary design that's also very versatile because I could use them during the autumn and even well into Christmastime. These are a 50/50 poly-cotton blend and machine washable (on a very delicate setting). Another wonderful selling feature is the fact that these are proudly made in the USA. I can't say how happy I was to see that sticker "made in the USA: It Matters!" on the outside of the packaging. It sure does matter. I recommend this set to anyone who is looking to add a spot of brightness and a splash of color to their place settings.

Lovely compliment to any holioday lenox china that has the gold trim. I have Winter Greetings, but this compliments Holiday and other patterns, too. Non-christmas enough to use for other festive occassions - just golden metallic holly leaves and berries on an ivory background. The ivory background color co-ordinates with all classic Lenox ivory vases or china. If you love leaf patterns, you'll enjoy this.

This particular kind of fabric doesn't look like it is going to wear well.It catches on things and has a weave that looks like it is going to pull.Washing it did not remove the folds from the original packaging.If this thing survives my family use for three months I will be amazed.

Review of DII Palette Check Indian Summer Napkin Set of 4

These napkins add a lovely touch to my table. They are a great size (big), look beautiful, and the price was great with the four for the price of three offer. I've yet to see how well they hold up to washing, but as of now they get five stars! I've downgraded these to four stars, although it doesn't show. They're great, but to look good they need ironing. Arghhh. Can't be doing that everyday!

Review of Reflections 52 by 52-Inch Tablecloth

Just as promised, any liquid poured on the tablecloth will bead up initially. The material is very soft. This has also seen the washer many times and it still looks like new. I had bought one of these in "Sun" for over twice as much I paid for them on Amazon. Amazon really has a great deal on these. You can't buy a microfiber tablecloth for this price at even Wal-Mart. I really can't say enough good things about this tablecloth.

This has become our everyday tablecloth. Usually I can just shake out the crumbs,wipe out the spills with a damp cloth, and put the cloth back on the table, but of course sometimes it needs to go in the laundry.We bought the white cloth and it looks like new after many washings.No stains have lasted through a wash, though I do not know if some of our barbecue, spaghetti, baked beans and other stains would have come out completely if I hadn't used OxyClean because when I have a bad stain that doesn't wipe out with a cloth I do spray some OxyClean on before washing. We bought a second one of the same tablecloth to use when the first is in the wash.Also, the cloth looks perfectly smooth and neat when I take it out of the dryer.

Nowhere in the product description did it give a clue that these were polyester. When the product name says "linen" and the fibre content is not listed in the description, one presumes they're linen. I paid very little for them, and they look nice, so I will keep them. I haven't used them yet, so no comment on how well they function and wear. Amazon -- please show fibre content in the product description, otherwise it is deceptive.

I got the white variation.These napkins are large, the design is nice and they are good quality.Highly recommended.

(Edited 06/23/08) After washing them several times I'm starting to notice that a lot of lint and hair is sticking to them after I pull them out of the dryer.It has gotten bad enough that I have started using a lint roller before folding them.I could just be completely ineffective at washing these things however.

I enjoyed this purchase it came on time and we had company
over and it made such and elegant presentation that the guests thought they were royalty. If any spills or condensation from the iced tea glasses no problems it wiped right up. These tablecloths are made by Bardwil Linens a textile company located in New York's garment district. The tablecloths are made in Taiwan and are of a 100% synthetic-poly material and are machine washable. With Amazon's everyday low price (not to mention free shipping) and 4 for 3 offer I purchased multiple sets of these because you couldn't beat this price even if you had a big fat stick. I got mine in black and burgundy. The colors are basically true to the pictures here, however they're every-so slightly lighter. I find the black would be nice for everyday occasions or just a casual dinner with friends and family. It could also be dressed up slightly with some nice napkins and other items. The burgundy looks a littler dressier and I am sure it will be a great addition to my Christmas decor. One thing I did want to discuss was the sizing. First of all, it's very confusing. I wish Amazon would post a size chart (Birdwell includes one on the back of each of the packages, which I will typed up below). However, the sizing is not true to size. I strongly recommend you order up by 1 size. These spot-clean very well and wash very nicely in the washing machine, they also take an iron well, too.

What a great idea for anyone with kids or a clumsy adult in the house!These tablecloths look and feel beautiful, but their main selling point is their stain resistant design.If a liquid is spilled on them, it just beads up.You have to chase the beads with your towel, but they don't soak in.It also washes amazingly well.I bought the ivory one for my mother with her 11 grandchildren (think chocolate donut and marker stains) and it still looks brand new!Needless to say, we have since bought many other colors for both of us.I cannot recommend these strongly enough--and the price is great!
